Improvised line exercises

All these compositions have been created from the same set of lines drawn with charcoal onto an A2 sheet. Seen in some of my YouTube videos.

These are from the Improvised line exercises taken from one of my favourite books (no longer in print) The Creative Way To Paint by David Friend, I can't recommend this book highly enough, I still use some of the ideas today and I've had this book since I was at school, (it's actually my Dads book)

All the four drawings have been created from the same set of simple lines drawn on an A2 sheet. This is a great exercise to try, it really gets those creative juices flowing.
